This coming weekend is sure to bring about some change as we enter into the dark Feminine's journey, The astrology points to the justified feminine rage that may be unleashed, starting Thursday and continuing through Monday.

About two weeks ago, I awoke to the name Persephone being repeated over and over in my mind. Of course, I had heard of her before, but what did she want to say to me? What was the message I was supposed to receive to find some sort of healing?
I started by researching Persephone.

She is the goddess of all plants, trees, and anything that grows. She is what in the modern age we picture as Mother Nature herself. The statue below depicts Persephone being carried away over the shoulder of a big man, very much not a willing participant. They say the translation is wrong, but the Italians state the inscription as "The Rape Of Persephone." They have watered it down for us gentle folk, now saying it should read "The Abduction." Either way, it doesn’t look like a fun time.
So what does this say to me? The usual—that the weak will be taken advantage of, and the gentler race will always be stalked and abused? The same old story. Well, I reject that as my reality because there is more to the story if you dig a little deeper, which I did.

Persephone is associated with the sign of Virgo, my astrology sun sign. She nurtures and is the goddess of wheat in ancient times. This was the main source of food for the ancient people. A great famine struck when she was stolen away, robbing Earth of her nurturing presence. Her mother begged Hades (Pluto) to return her. But unfortunately, she had already eaten in the underworld. Hades moved by the mother's love and the loss suffered by the humans made a bargain. Pluto, or Hades, her abductor, allowed her to return to Earth for nine months out of the year because she was so dearly missed. That became the growing season and when the harvest was complete. She would return to the underworld with Hades, and grieving her loss the Earth would turn cold and barren, and winter would return.

The astrology at the time Persephone's name came to me, Pluto was starting to go back into Capricorn, and I interpreted it as a time to start building, growing, and nurturing the things that meant the most to me...
Fast forward, and I am about to leave for New York and return to a place I left in a state of panic and urgency, leaving family and friends because I felt I had no choice. I had to go and find healing, or I would be taken to the underworld. No one knows how close to death I felt at the time. I was okay with it; I had accepted it and even told my kids what I wanted at my funeral. There is so much here to unpack, so many similarities and parallels that I can’t discuss them all. Though I left of my own free will, I felt like I had no other choice.
This brings us to the astrology of this weekend, again bringing Persephone back into my awareness. The planet representing her is a little asteroid-like planet just past Pluto (Hades). These two planets are together in the sky right now. There is another power couple at play. The Black Moon Lilith, the dark feminine energy, and Saturn, the en-lightener are also together in the sky. Lilith is often associated with justified feminine rage, while Saturn is here to enlighten us about her role.

So what does that mean to you and me? We all carry equal parts of feminine and masculine energy within us, as all parts of the universe do. The yin and yang, the push and pull of every molecule and atom in the expansiveness of the Cosmos.
Will you choose to acknowledge the dark feminine that has been repressed within yourself? Work with this energy and allow the healing that Black Moon Lilith can bring, or will you deny its existence?
I am interpreting this weekend's forecast, as an astrologer and this is what I see. The Divine Feminine in me is returning home, and she is about to speak some truths that may not sit well with everyone. Some may be confronted with this feminine’s worthy rage. If you know what that means, you’d better move out of the way and let that fire burn itself out. The Divine Feminine is here in her rage to right some wrongs, this is all about karma and justice. If the masculine patriarchal society wants to stand in the way, then they will suffer the consequences, and there will be no apologies, for this has been a long time coming, figuratively and metaphorically.
This Virgo is not a violent person; in fact, violence is something I have tried to distance myself from. Speaking my truth and protecting my own is something that the dark feminine will always use all her power to enforce. I leave you with these words: all that I do comes from my perspective, and that is one of Love. A mother’s love, daughter’s love, sister’s love, and Granny’s love.
